Twining Tea Workshop

Media Invite

The battle of coffee and tea has been going around since I can remember, usually you are either a tea lover or a coffee lover but never both. I myself am more of a tea lover because of it health and anti-oxidant benefits and because having coffee breath irks me.

If you are too a tea lover, Twinings will be a familiar name to you. Being one of the very first companies to introduce tea drinking to the British in the 1700's, Twinings is the appointed tea brand by Queen Elizabeth and also the choice of many royals.

In marking its Over 300years of Expertise, Twinings hosted a tea workshop at the MBS Presidential Suite(Yes, I'm superficial like that!) educating us on how to make a prefect cup of tea. We was treated to a mini high tea session as well, which was out of all my favourite part.

Do you know Earl Grey, the very popular tea blend in the world, are made possible by Twinings. A blend of tea created specifically for the Lord Grey, Prime Minister of England, in the 1830's received so much popularity that it went on the market.

Twinings Earl Grey is easily the best Earl Grey I had tasted so far!

Out of the 3 tea types we tasted that day, the White Tea was the one which capture my heart. A light tea but still with a powerful aroma punch goes perfectly with sweet mini desserts.

Want something a little more creative and hip? Then you have to try their Mint Cooler made with only the finest peppermint leaves. This tea is best served cold over ice, add a teaspoon of honey for a perfect refreshing drink.

Knowing the art behind the tea able me to better taste and prepare my tea from now on. Next time my shelves will always be filled with Twinings tea! I'm officially a new fan!
